City Wine Market opened in 2010 with one focus... to simplify the wine buying experience. If you've ever described your own wine shopping experience as "overwhelming", you're not alone. In fact, more than 2/3 of shoppers do.

So to make shopping simple..

• We don't stock everything. We weed out the duds before they hit the shelves, so you can have confidence in whatever you're buying, whether it's $12 or $1,200.

• We never post scores or other advertisements. We believe it's our job to know about what's on our shelves and why it's worth drinking.

• We are always available to answer your questions. Just getting into wine and need some guidance... Searching for something to pair with that special meal or maybe tonight's take-out... Looking to add some trophies to your collection? Think of us like your personal shopper.

• We have monthly subscription clubs dedicated to exploring craft beer and fine wine. In this case, it's not the destination but the journey that matters most.

Who We Are...

 Jamie Woodall-Routlege started selling fine wine in 2000. Prior to opening City Wine Market in 2010, Jamie spent nearly 8 years working in numerous capacities for James Beard Chef and serial restaurateur, Michael Smith. After studying under Karen MacNeil (The Wine Bible, WineSpeed), Jamie went on to complete his Certified Wine Professional exam at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Napa Valley, CA in 2006.

Steve Wilson has sold wine in fine dining and for liquor retailers--boutique to big-box--for over two decades. Steve earned his Certified Wine Professional (CWP) certification from the CIA in Napa Valley in 2006, and received his masters degree in Wine & Beverage Management from the CIA in Hyde Park, NY in 2023.
